Healthcare Administration Degree Programs

Number of Awards & Eligibility: Two awards offered annually, one per application cycle.
In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. This award is for U.S. students.
  2. Must be a U.S. citizen.
  3. Must be pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree.
  4. Must be studying healthcare administration or healthcare management.
  5. Must have a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or higher.

Description: This scholarship is open to U.S. students who are pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree in healthcare administration or healthcare management. Student must have a grade point average of 3.0 or higher.

Application requirements for the Healthcare Administration and Management Scholarship are:

Additional Information: Applicants must demonstrate a sincere dedication to the healthcare field through involvement in professional organizations and/or leadership in healthcare-related community service. Recipients will be chosen based on their academic achievement, participation in school and/or community activities, and future career aspirations within healthcare administration. Depending on the number of qualified finalists, the committee may require a personal interview via video conferencing. Awardees will be notified on or around June 15 (for the spring application cycle) and Nov. 15 (for the fall application cycle).

Award Amount: $1,500 annually, non-renewable.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $3,000.

Applications are available on the Healthcare Administration Degree Programs (HADP) website. In addition to a completed application, each student must submit the following materials: proof of U.S. citizenship (acceptable documents listed on the HADP website); a cover letter; a resume; two letters of recommendation; a 500- to 1,000-word personal statement about why he/she has chosen the healthcare administration or management field; and a photograph (optional). The student must also request that his/her official transcript be sent by a school official to HADP, either to the email address provided (preferred) or to the mailing address provided. Applications must be emailed to the address provided by the appropriate deadline date. There are two deadline dates each year: May 15 and Oct. 15.
