Number of Awards & Eligibility: One award offered annually.
In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. This award is for U.S. students.
  2. Must be HIV positive, and/or focused on the treatment of and/or eradication of the HIV virus.
  3. Must be a resident of one of the following states: Washington, Oregon, Idaho, Montana or Alaska.
  4. Must be a U.S. citizen.
  5. Preference is given to students who are self-identified lesbian, gay, bisexual, or transgendered; members of LGBT families; or allies who have been strongly supportive of the LGBT community.
  6. Must be a high school senior, undergraduate, or graduate student at time of application.

In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:

Description: This award is available for U.S. citizens who have been living in Washington state, Oregon, Idaho, Montana, or Alaska for at least one year. Applicants must be goal-oriented, HIV positive, and/or focusing on the treatment and/or eradication of HIV. Preference is given to self-identified LGBT students, members of LGBT families, and straight allies who have been supportive of the LGBT community.

Additional Information: Pride Foundation is able to offer a diversity of scholarships, which encourage students of different backgrounds and educational interests to apply. Most scholarships are available for straight ally or questioning students as well as student of LGBT (lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender) parents. All promote leadership and diversity in the LGBT community.

Award Amount: The monetary award amount varies and is determined by the Pride Foundation. Generally, scholarships offered through the foundation are a minimum of $500 to a maximum of $12,000. The award is offered annually and is non-renewable.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $12,000.
