Additional Information: The Kansas Foster and Adoptive Children Scholarship Fund is provided annually to currrenta and former foster children in Kansas, as well as those who have been adopted. Award selection is based on a combination of academic merit, unmet financial need, and a demonstrated potential for success. This award is managed and administered through the Greater Kansas City Community Foundation, a local area charity founded in 1978 with the mission of providing assistance and centralized resources for decentralized charitable causes and giving. Award Amount: Award amounts vary depending on the availability of funding and the selected recipients' financial need. Funds will be paid out during the following academic semester and may be used for educational expenses such as tuition, room and board, books, and other academic fees.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $1,000.
