In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. Must be enrolled in an accredited cosmetology program.
  2. Must be a U.S. citizen or legal permanent resident.
  3. This award is for U.S. students.

Description: The Keller Cosmetology Scholarship Program is available for U.S. cosmetology students who create and submit an original video of up to 2 minutes in length. Videos must creatively answer the question: "What does beauty mean to you?"

Application requirements for the Keller Cosmetology Scholarship Program are:

  • Application form
  • Recommendation letter
  • Video submission
  • Proof of enrollment
Additional Information: Winners will be selected based on the originality, creativity, and passion demonstrated in the video submission, as well as the strength of academic records and recommendations. The selected recipient will be notified in mid July.

Award Amount: $1,000 annually, non-renewable.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $1,000.

Applications and information about this scholarship can be found online at the Keller International website and may be accessed using the included link. To apply for this program, applicants must complete the PDF application form and include the following items: a letter of recommendation from a cosmetology professional such as a current instructor or employer, or someone else who is familiar with the applicant's work; proof of enrollment in an accredited cosmetology program; and the link to an original two-minute video submission on Youtube. Each applicant must produce an original and unique video in response to the following topic: "What does beauty mean to you?" Videos should address the theme in a creative and personal manner. Videos must also include a link to keller4salon.com and must include the line "Keller4salon.com Scholarship 2018." All applications must be submitted by email or postal mail and titled with Keller Scholarship 2018. Entries must be received no later than the deadline date.
