Additional Information: The Kreider Scholarship Fund is available for graduating students at Bonner Springs High School in Bonner Springs, Kansas who are planning to attend a college or university within the state of Kansas. Applicants must have a GPA of 2.5 or higher and must demonstrate unmet financial need & a history of community participation. To be eligible, students must also sign an agreement to refrain from the use of alcohol, tobacco and drugs during their college career. Additional questions about the award and requests for information should be directed to the Bonner Springs High School Counselor. This scholarship is administered through the Greater Kansas City Community Foundation (GKCCF), a local area charity founded in 1978 with the purpose of providing a dedicated and consolidated resource for diverse and otherwise unrelated charity efforts. From its humble beginnings, the scope of the GKCCF has expanded to include the broader regional area, as well as national inititatives, scholarships, and other programs designed to benefit communities across the country.

Applications and information about the Kreider Scholarship Fund are available online at the Greater Kansas City Community Foundation (GKCCF) website. To be considered for this scholarship, students must submit a completed online application form as well as the following documents and responses to the supplemental questions: a completed educational budget section of the application; an essay of up to 500 words in length addressing the topic on the application; a brief personal statement detailing any unusual circumstances or causes of financial need; and a letter of recommendation from someone who is not related to the applicant. All applications and supporting documents must be submitted online by the deadline date. Any late or incomplete submissions will be discarded.
