Number of Awards & Eligibility: The number of awards offered varies annually and is dependent on funds.
In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. This award is for U.S. students.
  2. Must be a U.S. citizen.
  3. Must be a graduating high school senior to apply for this freshman year award.
  4. Must plan to attend McMurry University in Texas.
  5. Must have an SAT/ACT score of 1100/24 or lower AND a grade point average of no higher than a 3.5 OR have an SAT/ACT score of 1100/24 or higher AND a grade point average of 3.0 or lower.
  6. Must have a grade point average no higher than 3.5.
  7. Must plan to attend a college or university in Texas.

In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:

Description: U.S. graduating high school seniors who demonstrate academic achievement and plan to attend McMurry University in Texas are considered for this award upon admission.

Application requirements for the McMurry University Dean’s Scholarship are:

  • Official Transcript
  • ACTSAT scores
  • App. fee
Additional Information: McMurry scholarships are awarded based on availability of funds. Amounts are subject to change.

Award Amount: $10,000 annually, renewable for up to three additional years as long as the recipient maintains a grade point average of 2.0 or higher.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $40,000.

There is not a separate application for this award. The student will be automatically considered upon admission to the McMurry University. In addition to the completed application, the student must submit transcripts, ACT/SAT scores and a $25 application fee. The preferred deadline for financial aid for McMurry students is March 15th.
