Number of Awards & Eligibility: The number of awards offered annually.
In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. This award is for U.S. students.
  2. Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident.
  3. Must be a resident of Idaho.
  4. Must major in math or science (including but not limited to the area of engineering).
  5. Must be a full-time student.
  6. Must be enrolling at the freshman level (first year).
  7. Must plan to attend a public or private four-year college or university in the state of Idaho.
  8. Must have a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or above for all class work prior to the application.

In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:

Description: This scholarship is open to Idaho students who are enrolling as freshmen in a four-year Idaho college or university to major in math, science, or engineering. Students must have a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or higher.

Additional Information: The scholarship is awarded primarily on the basis of a sincere desire for further education or training, and individual achievement as evidenced through the student's academic record, participation in outside activities, leadership roles, and/or work experience.

Award Amount: The award amount varies annually. Awards are non-renewable. All recipients must maintain the stated grade point for the first semester (or quarter if the school is on the quarter system) in order to receive a subsequent disbursement. Non-traditional students who have not been enrolled in a higher education institution for a period of three years shall be exempt from the cumulative grade point average requirement for the first semester (or quarter if the school is on a quarter basis) of the scholarship.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $4,600.

Applications are available on the Idaho Community Foundation (ICF) website. Please note: The student may apply for all scholarships for which he/she is qualified; however, a separate application and supplemental materials must be submitted for each scholarship. In addition to a completed application, the student must submit the following materials: five one-page essays addressing the topics listed on the application; a copy of his/her most recent high school transcript, report card, or unofficial/uncertified college transcript; and two letters of recommendation. Applications must be emailed to the address provided by the deadline date.
