North Carolina 4-H Youth Development Department
$500 annually, non-renewable. All 4-H scholarships will be paid directly to the college or university. They will not be made payable to the recipient nor his/her parents.
One award offered annually.
Please note: All eligible students must have filed an application for admission to at least one institution of higher learning, and must arrange for and take the SAT and/or ACT. It is the student's responsibility to make all arrangements for college admissions. Selection will be based on the following: 4-H record (50 percent); scholastic achievement as measured by performance in high school courses (25 percent); and college aptitude as measured by performance on college entrance exams, such as the SAT and ACT (25 percent). Recipients will be selected in March. Recipients must attend the 4-H Scholarships and Awards Luncheon held during the N.C. 4-H Congress. Recipients may be required to attend the CALS Donor Recognition Event in the fall.
