Number of Awards & Eligibility: The number of awards offered varies annually. Last year, 33 scholarships were awarded.
In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. This award is for international and U.S. students.
  2. Must be a citizen of the United States or Canada. Please note: Permanent residents who are from Arizona may apply.
  3. Must have a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale.
  4. Must major in accounting at an accredited two- or four-year college or university in the United States.
  5. Must be a current undergraduate student. Students in an accredited two-year college may apply following their first semester grades or during their second year if transferring to a four-year institution. Students in an accredited four-year college may apply for the scholarship for their second, third, or fourth year of studies.

In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:

Description: U.S. and Canadian citizens who are current undergraduate students with grade point averages of 3.0 or higher are eligible for this award. Students must major in accounting.

Additional Information: An independent selection committee will evaluate the applications and select the recipients considering: academic achievements and records; leadership and community involvement; honors and awards; work experience; statement of goals and aspirations; and financial need (Arizona need-based scholarship only). Notifications are sent to recipients and applicants not selected to receive an award via email by the end of April 2019.

Award Amount: Awards range from $500 to $2,000 annually, non-renewable. Students may reapply each year in which they meet eligibility criteria.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $1,250.

Applications are available online on the National Society of Accountants (NSA) website. Please note: The application process is administered by International Scholarship and Tuition Services, Inc. (ISTS). As part of the online application, each student must submit an essay of 300 words or less describing his/her plans as they relate to his/her educational and career objectives and long-term goals. Please note: Applicants who are residents of Arizona are also required to provide financial information on the application. Applications must be submitted by 11:59 p.m. CT on the deadline date.
