Washington Crossing Foundation
$500 to $5,000 annually, non-renewable. Scholarship recipients also receive an all-expenses-paid weekend, including transportation and housing, to Bucks County, Pennsylvania, to attend the Scholarship Awards Ceremony. Please note: All recipients must attend the Scholarship Awards Program on April 23, 2016, in order to win their scholarships.
The number of awards offered varies annually. Last year, 39 awards were given.
Please note: Students do not apply for specific named scholarships; an application is automatically considered in each category for which it qualifies. The judges' decision will be based on the following criteria: understanding of career requirements; purpose in choice of a career; preparation for such a career; qualities of leadership exhibited; sincerity; and historical perspective. The Board of Judges will consist of at least six Trustees of the Washington Crossing Foundation, at least one former scholarship winner, and a prominent educator. Semi-finalists and finalists will be notified of their status by March. Semi-finalists may be interviewed by telephone. Winners will be notified by April 1 and will be posted on the WCF website by June 30.
