Number of Awards & Eligibility: One scholarship will be provided to the student who submits the highest scoring essay.
In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. This award is for U.S. students.
  2. Must be 18 years of age or older.
  3. Must be currently enrolled in an accredited post-secondary educational institution, or must become enrolled no later than fall 2020.
  4. Must be a U.S. citizen or legal resident.

Description: The MoneySolver.org New Year's Resolution Scholarship is available for U.S. students who are 18 years of age and are currently enrolled or planning to enroll no later than fall 2020 in an accredited college or university.

Application requirements for the New Year’s Resolution Scholarship are:

Additional Information: The New Year's Resolution Scholarship is provided annually by MoneySolver.org. This scholarship contest seeks to award and assist those students who submit particularly clear and creative essay responses on the topic of New Year's Resolutions. The scholarship will provided to the applicant who submits an essay that scores the highest on the following criteria: writing ability; originality; creativity; and overall quality and excellence. A panel of qualified judges will select one winner within two months of the final deadline. The chosen scholarship winner will be required to submit additional documentation proving eligibility as requested by the sponsor.

Award Amount: $1,000 annually, non-renewable.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $1,000.

Applications and additional information about the MoneySolver New Year’s Resolution Scholarship are available online using the provided links. To be considered for this award, students must write an original essay of up to 250 words in length that responds to the contests' topic prompt: "What are your 2019 resolutions and how do you plan to keep them?" Essays must be submitted with all other required applicant information through the online application form. All applications and essays must be submitted no later than the deadline date.
