Successful candidates will exhibit excellence in academics, leadership, extracurricular activities, community service and potential for future success. At the discretion of the recipient, funds may be paid directly to her or to the accredited educational institution. Non-taxable uses for this money may be tuition, fees, books, and equipment required for courses of instruction. Funds used for room, board, or transportation expenses may have tax consequences for the recipient.
