All scholarships are awarded toward tuition only. Each local fashion design and fashion marketing, merchandising and retail management competition offers $3,000 annually, non-renewable. Local first-place winning entries will move on to the national competition. The national grand prize winners in the fashion design and fashion marketing, merchandising and retail management competition are awarded a full-tuition scholarship to the Art Institute location they represented in the competition. Tuition credit is awarded evenly over all quarters. National second place winners in both categories are awarded a $5,000 tuition scholarship, and national third place winners in both categories are awarded a $4,000 tuition scholarship. Both national grand prize winners receive a VIP trip to Fashion Week in New York City, the opportunity for a "meet-and-greet" at 'Seventeen' Magazine, including lunch with a 'Seventeen' Magazine style pro and a $500 shopping spree at a store selected by 'Seventeen' Magazine.
One fashion design entrant and one fashion marketing, merchandising and retail management entrant will be selected from each of the participating Art Institutes locations.
