  1. This award is for U.S. and international students.
  2. Must be an undergraduate student at the time of application.
  3. Must submit an original store and product design proposal.

Description: The PAVE International Design Competition is open to undergraduate students around the world who submit a design proposal based on the current year's project guidelines.

Additional Information: The visual design competition integrates store design and visual merchandising categories. Applicants are encouraged to consider both aspects of the design while creating a proposal. Judges will select the proposal that incorporates the five design considerations of the sponsor, demonstrates a positive expression of the brand, and creates a unique on-campus experience. Winners will also receive a travel stipend to be honored at the PAVE Gala in December in New York City.

Award Amount: $8,000 for first place, $5,500 for second place, $3,000 for third place, and one honorable mention award of $1,000. All awards are provided on a one-time basis and are non-renewable.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $4,500.

Registration forms and information about this design competition can be found online at the provider website. Students may register for this competition individually or in groups of two. Upon completing registration, interested applicants may access the full details the of submission guidelines and requirements. Students will be required to submit an original design proposal for the sponsor, Home Depot, and proposals must be in an 8-1/2 x 14-inch format, not to exceed 14 single sided pages. Design submissions may be hand-drawn, rendered, photographic, and/or computer-generated. Students must also submit a copy of the project's design booklet in a PDF format on a thumb drive. All applications and supporting documents must be mailed to the provided address and must be rceived no later than the deadline.
