Applications are available on the Connecticut Community Foundation (CCF) website. All students must submit the application via the CCF online system. Students may select all scholarships for which they are eligible; however, as it is impossible for a student to be eligible for all scholarships offered by CCF, any application received with all scholarships checked will be deemed ineligible. Each student must submit the following supporting documents: a legible copy of his/her current high school transcript (SAT scores not required but preferred); contact information for a teacher, employer, clergy, guidance counselor, or other community member who will submit a letter of recommendation on his/her behalf; a copy of his/her Student Aid Report (SAR) showing his/her EFC (Expected Family Contribution), available by filing the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid); and an essay of 1,000 words or less on one of the topics listed on the application. It is strongly recommended that students upload electronic/scanned versions of requested documents to the online application. If upload is not possible, the student should mail the document to the address provided and send an email to the address provided advising that the document is arriving via mail. The student must wait for mailed documents to be uploaded to his/her application by the CCF; therefore, mailing well in advance of the deadline is recommended. The complete online application must be submitted by 11:59 p.m. EDT on the deadline date.
