Number of Awards & Eligibility: One award offered annually.
In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. This award is for U.S. students.
  2. Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident.
  3. Must be a graduating high school senior to apply for this freshman year award.
  4. Must attend La Cueva High School in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
  5. Must have a grade point average of 2.0 or higher.
  6. Must have a reading disorder or other learning disability.

In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:

Description: New Mexico graduating high school seniors from La Cueva High School who have a grade point average of 2.0 or higher are eligible for this award. Students must have a language learning or other reading disability.

Additional Information: The Robby Baker Scholarship Fund was established by Robby’s family in 2003. Robby loved to ski and found that skiing helped his self-confidence as he dealt with the challenges of dyslexia.

Award Amount: $850 annually, non-renewable.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $850.

Applications are available online from the Albuquerque Community Foundation website. In addition to the completed application, the student must submit transcripts, SAT/ACT scores, resume, personal essay and up to two letters of recommendation from teachers or counselors. Applications must be submitted online by the deadline date.
