Number of Awards & Eligibility: The number of recipients for this program varies according to the number of college students meeting the eligibility requirements in any given year.
In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. This award is for U.S. students.
  2. Must be a U.S. citizen.
  3. Must be a legal resident of the state of Illinois.
  4. Must be a current undergraduate or graduate student.
  5. Must be pursuing a career in real estate leadership training.
  6. Must have held a valid real estate license for a minimum of one year, working in Illinois.

Additional Information: The Illinois Real Estate Educational Foundation (ILREEF) is a not-for-profit organization established to aid and promote real estate education throughout Illinois. The Roxane Malo Leadership Scholarship Fund was established as a tribute to Roxane's personal commitment to realtor leadership. Each year the fund will award one or more scholarships to selected individuals for the continuation and expansion of their leadership skills in a real estate related field. The Roxane Malo Scholarship cannot be used for reimbursement of previously attended courses. Students may receive the Roxane Malo Leadership Scholarship only once. The Illinois Real Estate Educational Foundation (ILREEF) determines scholarship recipients based on the following criteria: indication of interest in pursuing a career in leadership training in real estate; course of study centered on leadership development, along with a desire to become involved as a leader in the Realtor Association or related trade organization; and the receipt and review of at least three letters of recommendation.

Award Amount: $500 annually, non-renewable.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $500.
