Number of Awards & Eligibility: The number of awards offered varies annually and is dependent on funding and the number of qualified applicants.
In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. This award is for international and U.S. students.
  2. Must be 18 years of age or older at time of application.
  3. Must be a current or aspiring scheduler or dispatcher.
  4. Must be currently enrolled or planning to enroll in a postsecondary program of study to increase his/her professionalism in the scheduling and dispatching of business aircrafts.

In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:

Description: NBAA Charities offers scholarships to promote professionalism and career advancement for aviation professionals. U.S. and international students who are 18 year or older, who are current, aspiring schedulers or dispatchers are eligible for this award. Scholarships for up to $10,000 are being awarded.

Additional Information: All applicants will be notified of award outcomes by December. Scholarship recipients will be announced at the NBAA Annual Schedulers & Dispatchers Conference. Recipients of the current scholarship are not eligible to apply for awards in the following year, but they will be eligible to apply again in subsequent years.

Award Amount: Up to $10,000 annually, non-renewable.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $10,000.

Applications will be available in the summer online from the National Business Aviation Association (NBAA) website. In addition to the completed application, the student must submit a 500-word, typed, double-spaced essay covering all three topics described in the application; a current resume with permanent home address; and two letters of recommendation. One letter must be from an NBAA member and a company representative is encouraged for the second, but not required. Applications and supporting materials must be received by NBAA no later than 5 p.m. ET on the deadline date. All submissions must be made through the online application system.
