Former U.S. Senator James M. Jeffords established this fund to honor his mother, Marion Husman Jeffords, and her career as an educator who taught music and art in Rutland, Vermont. Please note: This scholarship is funded by an endowment subject to laws restricting disbursements under certain investment yield scenarios; as a result, there can be no guarantee of a scholarship award for the upcoming academic year. Applicants must attend an accredited postsecondary school approved for federal Title IV funding, and must demonstrate financial need. Selection is based on application documents, financial need, and academic achievement. There are approximately 13 applicants for this program each year.
