Number of Awards & Eligibility: The number of recipients for this program varies according to the number of students meeting the eligibility requirements in any given year.
In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. Must be a National Merit and/or Achievement Semifinalist.
  2. Must be a U.S. citizen.
  3. Must be a graduating high school senior.
  4. Must plan to attend Spring Arbor University in Michigan, a Christian university.
  5. This award is for U.S. students.
  6. Must plan to attend a college or university in Michigan.

In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:

Description: U.S. high school seniors who are National Merit and/or Achievement Semifinalists will receive this award upon admission to Spring Arbor University in Michigan.

Application requirements for the Spring Arbor University National Merit Semifinalist Scholarship are:

  • Application form
  • Official Transcript
  • $30 app. fee (waived if online)
  • ACT/SAT scores
  • proof of National Merit Semifinalist status
Additional Information: A recipient must enter Spring Arbor University the same year as his/her high school graduation.

Award Amount: 60 percent of tuition, valued at $12,978 annually, renewable for up to three additional years as long as the recipient maintains a grade point average of 3.5 or higher. A recipient may also be eligible for an additional one-time grant of $500 for attending an Honors Showcase event.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $51,912.
