Number of Awards & Eligibility: A minimum of two awards offered annually.
In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. Must be adopted or must be the birth parent of an adopted child.
  2. Must be accepted to or enrolled in an accredited college or university.
  3. Must be a U.S. citizen or legal permanent resident.
  4. This award is for U.S. students.

Description: The The Adoption Network Law Center Scholarship Program is available for birth parents and adoptees who have been accepted to or are currently enrolled in college or university.

Application requirements for the The Adoption Network Law Center Scholarship Program are:

  • Application form
  • Video submission
Additional Information: The primary consideration of award selection will be based on video submissions. Students are invited to submit videos in any tone, so long as it captures the essence of the topic prompt in a way that is authentic to the applicant. Selected recipients may be asked to provide proof of acceptance to or enrollment in an accredited college or university.

Award Amount: Up to $5,000 annually, non-renewable.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $5,000.

Applications and additional information about this scholarship are available online at the The Adoption Network Law Center website. To be considered for an award, applicants must create an original video of at least two minutes in length that addresses the topics described at the provider website. Videos must be published publicly and application submissions must include a link to its online location. All applications must be submitted online no later than the deadline date.
