Number of Awards & Eligibility: multple awards offered annually.
In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. This award is for U.S. students.
  2. Must be a high school senior at time of application.
  3. Must graduate from a Baltimore city public high school.
  4. Must have a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or higher.
  5. Must be accepted to Towson University in Maryland.
  6. Must be a U.S. citizen.
  7. Must be a resident of Maryland.
  8. Must enroll full time.

In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:

Description: This award is for U.S. high school seniors, who have a grade point average of 3.0 or higher and have applied to and been accepted to Towson University.

Application requirements for the Towson University/CollegeBound Foundation Scholarship are:

  • Application form
  • Recommendation letter (2)
  • Essay
  • Official Transcript
  • Acceptance letter
  • Comm. service verification
Additional Information: Towson University is happy to support the CollegeBound Foundation in its efforts to provide students with an opportunity of a college education.

Award Amount: $1,000 annually, renewable for three years.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $3,000.

Information is available online at the CollegeBound Foundation website. Applications are only available online through the online portal. In addition to completing the CollegeBound Foundation Competitive Scholarship Application, the applicant must also submit the following: two letters of recommendation; a copy of his/her college acceptance letter(s); a typed essay addressing the topic listed on the application (if applicable); community service verification(s) (if applicable); and a copy of his/her recent high school transcript, including the first semester of the senior year. All application materials must be received by the deadline.
