Number of Awards & Eligibility: All eligible students will be automatically considered.
In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. This award is for U.S. students.
  2. Must plan to attend the University of North Florida.
  3. Must have a grade point average of 3.8 or higher.
  4. Must be an incoming freshman.
  5. Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident.
  6. Must have an SAT score of 1220 or higher (combined verbal and math only) OR an ACT score of 27 or higher.

Description: This award is available for U.S. high school seniors who plan to attend the University of North Florida. Students must have a grade point average of 3.8 or higher and an SAT score of 1220 or higher or an ACT score of 27 or higher.

Application requirements for the UNF Presidential Scholarship are:

Additional Information: Presidential Scholarships are awarded by the Office of Admissions to recognize incoming freshmen who exhibit particularly outstanding academic achievements. Non-Florida residents who are awarded the Presidential Scholarship may also be considered for a Presidential Plus Scholarship. These additional scholarships are awarded on a funds-available basis.

Award Amount: Scholarship amounts are as follows: Silver, $1,000 annually; Gold, $2,000 annually; Platinum, $4,000 annually; Diamond, $6,000 annually. All awards are renewable for three additional years if the student meets renewal criteria. The higher award levels correspond to higher levels of academic achievement.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $13,000.

Scholarship information is available on the University of North Florida (UNF) website. Students are automatically considered for this award by applying for admission to UNF. A separate scholarship application is not required. Admissions information is available online at www.unf.edu/admissions/. In addition to a completed admissions application, the student must submit the following materials: a $30 non-refundable application fee; official high school transcripts; official transcripts from any credit-earning mechanisms (IB, AP, dual enrollment, CLEP, DANTES, etc.); and official ACT and/or SAT score reports. Admissions applications are accepted on a rolling basis throughout the year; however, students are encouraged to submit applications by Oct. 15 for optimal scholarship consideration.
