Number of Awards & Eligibility: 42 awards offered annually.
In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. This award is for U.S. students.
  2. Must enroll full time.
  3. Must plan to attend the University of North Georgia as a first-time freshman.
  4. Must have a cumulative high school grade point average of 3.0 or higher.
  5. Must have an SAT combined score of 920 or higher, with a minimum of 480 on critical reading and 440 on math; OR an ACT combined score of 20 or higher with a minimum 20 in English and 18 in math.
  6. Must be a legal resident of Georgia for 12 consecutive months or more immediately preceding the fall term for which an award is being sought.
  7. Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident.
  8. Must graduate from a high school in Georgia.
  9. Must be a graduating high school senior.

In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:

Description: This award is available to Georgia high school seniors who are planning to attend the University of North Georgia. Students must have a grade point average of 3.0 or higher, and a score of 920 or higher on the SAT or 20 or higher on the ACT. Recipients must agree to serve in the Georgia Army National Guard.

Additional Information: The state of Georgia offers 42 scholarships per year to Georgia high school seniors who attend the University of North Georgia and commission as officers in the Georgia Army National Guard after graduating with bachelor's degrees. The scholarship pays for your room, meals, tuition, books, uniforms, and fees. In addition, you receive National Guard weekend drill pay, GI Bill®, pay for attending Army basic and advanced training, and Army ROTC contract pay (beginning of sophomore or junior year, if offered a contract to commission as a lieutenant). You may also be eligible for an enlistment bonus and monthly GI Bill® kicker.

Award Amount: The University of North Georgia Military Scholarship is worth $85,000+ over four years.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $892,500.
