Awards range from $500 to $5,000 depending on the student's unmet need and the availability of funds. Average awards are about $1,000 annually, non-renewable.
Two awards offered annually.
The Grand Rapids Community Foundation awards hundreds of scholarships annually, primarily to Kent County students bound for or in college, or those pursuing a technical career. Each year, the law firm of Warner Norcross & Judd provide at least two scholarships to minority students in Michigan who are pursuing higher education in the law. At least one award will be provided to a student in law school, and at least one award will be provided to a student preparing for a career as a paralegal or legal secretary. Selection is based on financial need and academic performance.
