Number of Awards & Eligibility: Five awards offered annually.
In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. Must be a U.S. citizen or legal permanent resident.
  2. Must be female.
  3. Must be a resident of South Carolina.
  4. This award is for U.S. students.
  5. Must be accepted to or enrolled in an undergraduate program.

Description: This scholarship is available for undergraduate women in South Carolina who have demonstrated a positive impact in their communities.

Application requirements for the Women of Distinction Network’s Scholarship are:

  • Recommendation letter
  • Essay
  • Proof of enrollment or acceptance
  • Letter of intent
Additional Information: The Women of Distinction Network provides an annual scholarship in the hopes of assisting the educational aspirations of exceptional women who have demonstrates a positive impact on their communities.

Award Amount: Selected applicants will received funding for a new laptop computer, valued at approximately $350.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $350.

Applications and information about this award is available online at the Women of Distinction Network website using the link provided. To be considered for this award, the following items must be submitted: a completed application form; two letters from references who can attest to the applicant's character and contributions; a personal essay of up to 600 words responding to one of the prompts listed on the application; proof of enrollment in or acceptance to an accredited college, university, or technical school; and a letter of intent describing the applicant's purpose for applying for the scholarship award. Applications must be sent via postal or electronic mail no later than the deadline date.
