Number of Awards & Eligibility: The number of awards offered varies annually. In the past, three scholarships have been awarded.
In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. This award is for international and U.S. students.
  2. Must be a full-time student.
  3. Must be a resident of the United States.
  4. Must be a member of the Alpha Delta Phi Fraternity or the Alpha Delta Phi Society.
  5. Must attend a college and/or university with an Alpha Delta Phi chapter. Chapter information is available on the Alpha Delta Phi website.
  6. Must be currently enrolled as an undergraduate at time of application and will be enrolled during the application academic year.

In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:

Description: This scholarship is available for currently enrolled undergradute students who are members of the Alpha Delta Phi Fraternity or the Alpha Delta Phi Society. Students must attend a college with a chapter of one of the eligible organizations.

Additional Information: Seward Scholarships are awarded annually to members of the Alpha Delta Phi Fraternity and Alpha Delta Phi Society on the basis of academic achievement and contribution to their respective organization. The Committee will announce all scholarship recipients in August.

Award Amount: $500 to $1,000 annually, non-renewable. Awards must be used to meet direct educational expenses such as room, board, tuition, and books.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $750.

Applications are available on the Alpha Delta Phi Society (ADPS) website. There are two stages in the appplication process for the Seward Scholarship. During the first stage of the competition, each student must submit a completed application form and request that his/her school send an official transcript of grades to the ADPS. This first stage must be complete by July 1. Applications must be submitted online by this date. During the second stage, the awards committee may solicit evaluations of specific applicants. The committee will consult members of the fraternity or society who are able to evaluate the applicant's contribution to his/her local chapter.
