Number of Awards & Eligibility: Up to three scholarship awards will be provided annually.
In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. Must be currently enrolled in an accredited undergraduate or graduate program.
  2. Must have a family member with a disability.
  3. Must be employed in the public sector, or have another family member who is employed in the public sector.

Description: The City of Boston Disability Scholarship Contest is available for current college students who have a family member with a disability. Applicants or one of their family members must be employed in the public sector.

Application requirements for the City of Boston Disability Scholarship Contest are:

  • Video submission
Additional Information: Jonathan M. Feigenbaum, Esquire is proud to announce the City of Boston Disability Scholarship Contest, provided annually to students who understand the impact that a family member's disability can have. Submissions will be evaluated primarily on the quality of video entries, and preference will be given to scholarship applications that use plain language and straightforward content that truly captures the challenges associated with the long term care of a disabled loved one. Up to three winners will be notified of their scholarship award shortly after the deadline date, and no later than the end of August.

Award Amount: Scholarships are paid in the amount of $1,000. All awards are provided on a one-time basis and are non-renewable.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $3,000.
