Number of Awards & Eligibility: The number of awards offered varies annually. Please note: The awarding of academic admissions scholarships is highly competitive. Less than 10 percent of the incoming fall transfer class will receive a scholarship.
In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. This award is for international and U.S. students.
  2. Must have 60 transferrable credit hours or an AA degree completed before term of entry.
  3. Must have a grade point average of 3.5 or higher.
  4. Must plan to transfer to Florida International University.
  5. Must plan to enroll full time.

In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:

Description: This scholarship is open to students transferring to Florida International University who have 60 transferrable credit hours or an AA degree. Students must have a grade point average of 4.0.

Application requirements for the FIU Transfer Academic Achievement Scholarship are:

  • Official Transcript
  • Recommendation letters (2)
  • Personal statement
Additional Information: Apply no later than March 1 and recieve 50% Tuition, Fees and Books.

Award Amount: The scholarship will cover 50 percent of tuition and fees, plus books. Detailed information on current tuition and fees is available at https://admissions.fiu.edu/cost-and-aid/ The scholarship is renewable until degree completion if the student maintains full-time status, a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or higher, and completion of 30 credit hours between fall and spring terms only.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $7,000.
