Number of Awards & Eligibility: Two awards offered annually.
In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. This award is for U.S. students.
  2. Must be a U.S. citizen.
  3. Must be a resident of Texas.
  4. Must have a grade point average of 3.0 or higher.
  5. Must be pursuing or have plans to pursue higher education in earth/environmental science at an accredited four-year college or university. The field of earth/environmental science includes, but is not limited to: geology, hydrogeology, environmental science, environmental law, environmental education, forestry, oceanography and ecology.
  6. Must be a high school senior or older to apply for this undergraduate award.

Description: This scholarship is available for Texas undergraduate students who are pursuing or have plans to pursue higher education in earth/environmental science at an accredited four-year college or university. Students must have a grade point average of 3.0 or higher.

Application requirements for the Ozarka Natural Spring Water ‘Every Drop Counts’ Earth Science Scholarship are:

Additional Information: The scholarship committee will announce the names of two award recipients in or before July. The two winning applicants for the scholarship will receive notification of the committee's decision by U.S. mail and by phone. Candidates who are not selected will receive notification by U.S. mail. Applicants must not be employees or related to employees of Nestle Waters North America or Ozarka Natural Spring Water.

Award Amount: $10,000 annually, non-renewable. The scholarship committee will pay the scholarship award to the college or university of each winner's choice, and will be distributed according to the winning candidate(s)' college or university financial aid department. This check will be posted by the college or university to the recipient's account at the college or university he/she is attending. Scholarship checks will not be given to the recipients. The scholarship winner must be enrolled in or accepted to a four-year accredited college or university by the application deadline date. Winning candidates who are high school seniors/incoming college freshmen must provide proof of enrollment before funds may be disbursed.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $10,000.

Applications are available on the Nestle Waters Sponsorship Portal. The student must submit the following with his/her application: a seven-semester high school transcript, if a high school student; a current college transcript and degree plan in earth/environmental sciences, if a college student; a typed, double-spaced essay of one to two pages describing why he/she is pursuing a degree in earth/environmental sciences; and a signed application document. The scholarship application and all supporting materials must be submitted to the address provided, postmarked by the deadline date.
