Number of Awards & Eligibility: One scholarship will be provided annually.
In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. Must be a resident of Ventura County, California.
  2. Must be a graduating high school senior or current undergraduate student.
  3. Must be majoring in education.

Description: The Dr. Peter David Rogalsky Scholarship Fund is available for Ventura County residents who are pursuing an undergraduate degree in education.

Application requirements for the Dr. Peter David Rogalsky Scholarship Fund are:

Additional Information: Awarded to Ventura County residents who will graduate from or previously graduated from any Ventura County high school and who are enrolled or will enroll in an accredited public California 4-year college/university (UC or CSU) to pursue an undergraduate degree leading to a career in the teaching profession. Candidates must demonstrate financial need. A preference for applicants majoring in Elementary Education will be given in the selection process.

Award Amount: $750 annually, non-renewable.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $750.

Applications for the Dr. Peter David Rogalsky Scholarship Fund are available online at the Ventura County Community Foundation website. To apply for an award, students must complete all sections of the online application form. Applicants must also submit an original essay in response to the award's topic, as well as two letters of recommendation. At least one letter of recommendation must be submitted by a current faculty member at the school the student is attending. All applications and supporting documents must be received by the deadline date.
