Number of Awards & Eligibility: Two awards offered annually.
In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. This award is for U.S. students.
  2. Must be currently enrolled or planning to enroll in an accredited vocational program, college, or university.
  3. Must be a member and active participant in the 4-H Club.
  4. Must be a resident of Walsh County, North Dakota.

Description: The John D. Paulson Memorial Award is awarded to students who have been involved in the 4-H club of Walsh County, North Dakota. Applicants must be currently enrolled or planning to enroll in a vocational school, college, or university.

Additional Information: The John D. Paulson Memorial Award is awarded annually to students who have been involved in 4-H in Walsh County, ND.

Award Amount: $1,000 annually, non-renewable.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $2,000.

Applications are available on the North Dakota 4-H Foundation website. Students may apply for more than one scholarship using the same application. In addition to a completed application, the applicant must submit a copy of his/her transcript; and an attachment of two pages answering the questions listed on the application. A word processor or computer may be used to complete the application. The student should type or print using black ink. Attachments must be on plain white 8.5-inch by 11-inch paper. Applications must have the signatures of the student's parent and 4-H extension agent to be considered complete. The application is due at the Center for 4-H Youth Development at the address listed on the deadline date.
