Number of Awards & Eligibility: The number of awards offered varies annually based on the number of qualified applicants. Eligibility does not guarantee an award.
In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. This award is for U.S. students.
  2. Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident.
  3. Must be an incoming transfer student who has or will receive an A.A. degree. Please note: Current UNF students are not eligible.
  4. Must graduate from any of the 28 public community colleges or state colleges in Florida.
  5. Must have applied for admission to the University of North Florida. Please note: This scholarship is not available to students beginning in the spring term.

In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:

Description: This scholarship is available to Florida students who graduate from Florida public community/state colleges with an A.A. degree and plan to transfer to the University of North Florida. Awarding is competitive and based on academic merit and/or financial need, leadership positions, community activities, and availability of funds.

Additional Information: Awarding is competitive and based on academic merit and/or financial need, leadership positions, community activities, and availability of funds. Scholarship application decisions will be released no later than mid-July and scholarships are awarded beginning in the fall term of each year.

Award Amount: $2,000 annually, renewable for one additional year. Renewal is contingent upon the student meeting specified scholarship requirements.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $4,000.

Application information is available from the University of North Florida (UNF) website. The student must submit a scholarship application, which is available through his/her UNF myWings account. In order to submit a scholarship application, the student must have a completed admissions application on file. If the student has just submitted his/her admissions application, he/she will normally be able to submit a scholarship application on the following business day, but it might take up to three business days for his/her account to be created. A step-by-step tutorial for submitting the scholarship application is available online. Because funds are limited, students are encouraged to submit their FAFSA by Feb. 14. The scholarship application priority deadline is March 15.
