Number of Awards & Eligibility: One award offered annually.
In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. Must be a U.S. citizen or legal permanent resident.
  2. This award is for U.S. students.
  3. Must have a grade point average of 3.0 or higher.
  4. Must be diagnosed with a traumatic brain injury.
  5. Must be an undergraduate or graduate student at the time of application.

Description: This scholarship is available for U.S. students who have suffered a traumatic brain injury. Applicants must have a grade point average of 3.0 or higher.

Application requirements for the Bressman Law Traumatic Brain Injury Scholarship are:

  • Proof of residency
  • Documentation of diagnosis
Additional Information: The award will be made payable to the scholarship recipient's educational institution to cover educational expenses. The recipient is expected to submit receipts in accordance with IRS regulations.

Award Amount: $1,000 annually, non-renewable. Additional $500 scholarships may be awarded to runner-up entries at the provider's sole discretion.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $1,000.

Applications and information about this award are available online at the Bressman Law website using the link provided. To be considered for this award, students must submit a completed application form as well as the following documents: a one to three page typed essay about his/her experience with a traumatic brain injury and overcoming any resulting obstacles; proof of U.S. legal residency or citizenship; official transcripts for all high school and/or college classes attended; and documentation of diagnosis from a qualified medical professional. For proof of residency, students should submit a copy of a birth certificate, passport, or residency documentation. Students should NOT send official copies of residency or citizenship documents as application materials cannot be returned. All application forms, essays, and documentation of eligibility must be received by postal or electronic mail no later than the deadline date. Applications received after the deadline will not be taken into consideration.
