Description: Joon Care is a teletherapy company for teens and young adults that integrates the benefits of one-on-one therapy sessions with a mobile app-based experience. Our approach is evidence-based, skills-focused and personalized for each individual client. Why are we providing this scholarship? Simply put, there’s just not enough mental health professionals out there. We recognize that. The demand for mental health care is overwhelming and continues to grow. In order to solve these challenges, we will need the brightest minds working on these problems. Though this scholarship will not solve the issue, we hope to support at least one student to pursue a degree and career in mental health care. Whether your career goal is to be a clinical psychologist, school counselor, social worker or software developer inventing the next generation of technology for mental health care, we'd love to hear from you.

Additional Information: Guidelines for application: Submit an essay, 500 words or less. All entries must be submitted here by November 10th, 2022. Only one submission will be reviewed per applicant. Essay Prompt: We know that technology has the ability to both improve and impair mental health. What tangible steps can we take to move towards a world where technology consistently improves mental health care and access to care? How will technology impact the next generation of mental health care? Grading Criteria: Graders will be looking for originality, creativity, passion for the topic, and how well ideas were articulated. Winner: The winner of the Joon Care Scholarship Fund will receive $2,000 to be used towards the pursuit of higher education. The winner’s essay will be published on Joon Care’s Blog. The winner will be selected by December 15th, 2022.

Award Amount: Chosen applicant will receive $2,000  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $2,000.
