  2. Must be an incoming freshman.
  3. Must plan to attend Augsburg College in Minnesota.
  4. Must have a grade point average of 3.5 or higher.
  5. Must attend a college or university in Minnesota.

Description: This scholarship is open to international students who plan to attend Augsburg College as freshmen. Students must have a grade point average of 3.5 or higher.

Application requirements for the Augsburg College International President’s Scholarship are:

  • Recommendation letter
  • Official Transcript
  • Proof of finances
  • Proof of English proficiency
Additional Information: This scholarship is awarded on a first-come, first-served basis to qualified students. All recipients of this scholarship must participate in the Augsburg College Honors Program and live on campus.

Award Amount: Up to $30,000 annually, if student lives on campus. If not, student can receive up to $25,000.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $60,000.

Scholarship information is available online on the Augsburg College website. To be considered for this scholarship, the student must apply for admission to Augsburg College. A separate scholarship application is not required. To apply for admission, the student must submit the following materials: a completed online application; one letter of recommendation from a teacher or guidance counselor; original or certified high school transcripts; a completed Certification of Finances form (available online at www.augsburg.edu/international/apply/first-year/); an official bank statement, current within three months, showing funds of at least $30,000; and proof of English language proficiency (official TOEFL, IELTS, ACT, or SAT scores) sent directly to Augsburg College from the testing center. Admissions applications must be submitted by the deadline to be considered for this scholarship.
