Number of Awards & Eligibility: One award offered annually.
In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. Must be a high school senior.
  2. Must have a GPA of 3.0 or higher.
  3. Must be an Idaho resident.
  4. Must be a U.S. citizen.
  5. Must be studying photography at a college or vocational program.

Description: Idaho Scenic Images is pleased to announce the presentation of a yearly educational scholarship to one Idaho high school senior who demonstrates a passion for the outdoors and shows promise in the field of fine art landscape photography.

Application requirements for the Idaho Scenic Images Scholarship are:

  • Essay
  • Application form
Additional Information: Write a short essay (no more than 1/2 page, typewritten and single-spaced), detailing what landscape photography means to you. Send as a PDF attached to your photo submission or USPS mail with your photo submission. Send 5 landscape photographs (taken by you alone) as jpg files sized at 900 pixels on the long edge (watermarks encouraged) to: [email protected]. File names should include your last name and be numbered 1-5. (example: _JohnSmith_1.jpg) Include corresponding captions numbered 1-5 in the email. Or~Send 5 landscape photographs, printed on photo paper, 7x5 inch size, with captioning on reverse, which were taken by you alone. (Photographs will not be returned without a self-addressed, stamped envelope included with the application. You retain ownership and all rights to the photos you send). All information is to be submitted in one 5x7 envelope and mailed to: Idaho Scenic Images c/o Scholarship P.O. Box 3433 Coeur d'Alene, ID 83816 If you'd like your photos returned, please provide a self addressed, stamped envelope. All applications must be postmarked by April 30th of each year. (May 15th exception for 2020) Incomplete applications will be disqualified.

Award Amount: One of award of $500 offered.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $500.
