Over the last four years, I have developed a neutral attitude toward Augusta University. In all fairness, they were not my first choice of college when initially enrolling. In fact, I attended a two-year institution (hosted on the same campus) before enrolling at Augusta University. However, AU is local, relatively affordable for most majors, and offers the degree I desire (in Information Technology). In turn, I felt comfortable going to this college. What established my neutral opinion was the decrease in their overall quality. I think it was partially due to the recent Coronavirus pandemic, which shifted various practices and events around campus. To this day, I was never able to achieve the same enjoyment from both academics and extracurriculars from my first semester (Fall 2019). Beloved staff and faculty were terminated or have quit, campus extracurriculars/social events have dropped in quality and amount, and even the education does not perform to needed standards at times. In addition, Augusta University is affiliated with a hospital and maintains a popular medical college for students around the world. However, AU has an ongoing issue with promoting its medical campuses more than any other department, which leaves students and faculty in different majors with lesser resources and publicity. In all, Augusta University is a decent school to attend. I have made great memories and learned relevant information that I will carry on into my graduate program. I just believe that my college could be as great as it used to be.
Personal I loved the college when I went on a tour, I left with high hope and thinking it was an amazing school, I went there for about a year and I just don't think it's much of an experience, and mostly all the teachers went to Augusta University so they think you owe them respect. Myself I wouldn't go back.
