Cedarville is a University of high academic excellence with a high regard for God's Word. At Cedarville, Jesus Christ is the top priority in every aspect. In EVERY class, there is God integrated into the core of what the professor is teaching. The students at Cedarville are genuine people who love the Lord. The food is very good compared to other colleges that I have visited. The staff is willing to hear concerns, questions, and comments. Honestly, there is no need to even leave campus as there are ample activities, dining options, and ways to get involved. Cedarville's mission statement is, "Cedarville University is a Christ-centered learning community equipping students for life-long leadership and service through an education marked by excellence and grounded in biblical truth. Cedarville University's vision can be clearly articulated very simply: Distinctiveness Reinvigorated." I can say with complete honesty that this is true and accurate in the day-to-day life at Cedarville.

There are a lot of good academic programs. The students are mostly friendly and great to talk to and work with. If you are hoping to make friends who want to about spiritual things with you, you can find them here. There are really great professors in my department (science and math). They have chapel every day, and there is often an encouraging or challenging message from the Bible. The campus is pretty, and I enjoy walking around there. I think, for the most part, it has all the things it really needs to have, and the cons generally are the high cost and problems like that which you find at just about any college.

Angela - 03/16/2021

Personally, I hold Cedarville close to my heart. I may be biased because my dad is a professor at the university, but I believe my claim holds strong when I say it is one of the best in the region- even in all of Ohio. In all of the time I've spent visiting there, (and I've visited a lot), Cedarville has always been welcoming and full of exciting potential. I'm enrolled as a student there this coming fall, and I'm brimming over with excitement! There are so many programs, the faculty and the alumni are so kind and encouraging, and everyone there is full of positivity! Cedarville's goal is to get you to learn the right way, and to grow as a person through it. Everything they do is full of purpose and teaching built on the Bible. That to me is worth more than anything else I could study. And that's not to even mention the community around the college! It's in a small town, where everyone knows everybody and the stores sell good, homemade food. The facilities inside Cedarville are modern, up-to-date, and nothing is lacking. The best part: they even have their own Chick-fil-A!

Elizabeth - 01/06/2021

I absolutely love everything about Cedarville. The community is amazing and the professors are so encouraging both inside and outside the classroom. They take time to talk with you not just about academics but also life. They genuinely care for you and are always doing their best to help however they can.

Cedarville University FAQS

The fall 2020 acceptance rate for Cedarville University is 69%. That means, out of _____ applications received in 2020 , _____ students were offered admission. The number of males who applied was _____ vs the number of females which was _____.

  2. What should every freshman at your school know before they start?

I would tell them to start early and take their time. There are so many wonderful colleges and universities to attend. Take the time to go and visit these schools, to learn about the programs they offer. No one school is perfect, nor is any one school the same as another; each one offers something a little different than another one. So, take the time to get to know and understand what it is you like and dislike about each school. If you move to fast, you may wind up choosing a school that does not suit your needs or wants in an education and may very well regret your decision (plus losing all of the money that went into finalizing that decision). College is a great experience. Take the time to choose the one that suits you best.
