This is a great way for career oriented people that are looking to improve their education, but as a student wanting to start in a career field you have to be very disciplined.
Never be afraid to try something new. Pay attention to your strengths and make them even stronger. Work on your weaknesses until they are stronger. Don't believe what your parents told you, you can do and be anything you want. Research, research, and research some more until you find the information you are looking for. Other people are willing to help you, but you have to ask them first. Trust your gut. The resources are out there, you just have to know where to look. Think outside the box. You can do it!
I am not sure what the stereotype is, but I don't think we match any of them. We are all individuals and dedicated to making life better.
You shouldn't attend N.A.U.-Denver if you don't enjoy life. You shouldn't attend if your not serious about learning new information and skills. If all you want to do is party... do not apply. If you do not want to better yourself-do not apply. If you are not flexible-go to a different university. If all you want to do is play sports-go elsewhere. This is a place to brush up on previous skills and learn new ones. A place you go to to learn how to help others in your chosen career.
