There is not one day that you are not working with circuits, robots, lasers, culinary practices, dentistry art, or with motors. This college is different from any other college for the sole fact that all learning is hands on. Everyday your professor will guide your through the mountains and wilderness to the river of knowledge. Your success only depends on if you will take the initiative and drink from the river of knowledge and become someone successful that you will be proud of. That's it. TSTC is technically better in every way.

Compared to other two year colleges who does most lectures, TSTC allows the student to use the actual real world equipment so everyone gets feel of what they may be working with once they are out in the industry. I am glad that I attended TSTC because it gave me the motivation to continue on in my career path and now I am currently pursuing a BAAS as a transfer student. Class of 2020!!
The classes were small and the teachers very helpful. I was in the electrical field which I was one of two females in the course. The direct learning for what we would encounter in the field was great. The labs were fun and interesting. It's perfect for a fast track into a career with great starting salary.

Prepare for other life changes that go hand in hand with going off to college. Keep in mind that along with this new school and town, you'll be switching homes and moving away from the support back home. Keep ahead in your studies and stay on top of scholarship oppurtunities, they are a lot of work but they are vital to your time in college and making the financial stress level down. Don't let unnecessary stressors step into your life, remember how beneficial refocusing your energy on the positive can be.
Texas State Technical College is a fun place to learn.
It is close to home for me
It is a very good school for the automotive trade
The most frustrating thing about my school is only that it is a school in which it is male dominated because, I 'm guessing, the technical careers the school offers, the men dominate the women . Alot of times I want to talk to females and make friends but it's knida hard to find.
Determined and set minded, they are guys and some, not all, think that a female should not be going into the same field of study they are.
My school is best known for the richest and the most traditional schools.
The worst thing about TSTC is the dorms. They don't look too nice on campus.
Students who are interested in a four year university would be much better of going to a school that better fits their wishes. At this school, you are well prepared in your degree program and you become very familiar with a smaller group of students, teachers, and advisors. Although many benefit from this, others wish for the four-year university experience with larger classes and a larger school as well. This technical school is much different from a major university with a larger campus.
