My overall opinion of Austin Community College District is one that is mixed. Since my first day of college, I fell in love with my professors. I think Austin Community College District, ACC, has outdone themselves with hiring professors who genuinely care about teaching the students the material that they are teaching, rather than teaching an exam. I have to thank ACC for hiring the professors that they did because I love coming to class. The reason my opinion is mixed is that at the beginning of the semester ACC messed up more than a handful of student's tuition prices and despite phone calls and meetings, it has yet to be fixed. The place I currently take my classes at is a center, not a campus, which means the home campus does not provide us with security. I'm fine with not having most of the utilities that the other campus' have, however not having security does make me feel uneasy. I would highly recommend ACC to anyone who is struggling to make the transition from high school to college or would like a cheaper option. The classes are smaller which provides a more personal relationship with the professor.

ACC is a great way to start your college career. I chose to go to ACC first before going to a big college because I wanted to save money on my pre-reqs. I can live at home and save money and ACC is just around the corner. They have good teachers and great times for classes. Everything is available if you look for it and want to learn.

ACC is a great community for anyone wanting to get a taste of the college educational experience. If you're looking to get your general requirements done for a cheap price while still having access to a bunch of resources (great professors, activities, transfer help) then ACC is the place for you.

They do good work for the community, but they have a lot of room to improve. I have greatly benefited from their dual credit opportunities. In-district high school students recieve a maximum of 12 completely free classes that are either a part of their core curriculum or contributes to a work certificate.

My overall opinion is that they truly are there to help. The professors are flexible to help you out of class and the learning lab is a great tutor center. Resources don't feel limited and I have been very successful here.

Overall, I really appreciate Austin Community College. I am very thankful to have a school that is inexpensive and close by to pursue my education. So far my professors haven't been that great, but I have only done four classes. I am hopeful for this upcoming year as I have heard that the professors I will have are good teachers. The testing centers are easy to find and get into; as well as the staff makes the process quick and easy.

I love ACC. Like any good college there’s always room from improvement but these guys strike for bigger and better. It’s a very welcoming school, easy to fit in. The teachers are great sources of education and life lessons. I couldn’t ask for a better place to be.

ACC has one of the best American Sign Language programs in Texas. The staff and faculty is very helpful and encouraging towards all students. The classes are just small enough, and they have plenty of options available when it comes to choosing your classes and times.

What is your overall opinion of this school?

They have come a long way over the years! They are increasingly more competitive to allow themselves to be a feeder school to bigger universities such as University of Texas. All of my classes have been extremely challenging, and many students say that the classes are more challenging than their Texas State University classes. With that said, I hope that they become a college that offers 4-year degrees one day; although that may be a conflict of interest with UT. The problem is that UT's office of admissions is more like the office of admission denial and Texas State is over an hour away with good traffic! There are a few private schools, but they are extremely expensive. ACC does a lot for the Austin Community and I hope to see them expand in the future!

ACC is a growing campus. There are several developmental opportunities and I nnovative, far-sighted programs . It is flexible, adaptable, and engaging in learning. The culture of th campus and it’s encironment is intriguing. The people who work at ACC are dedicated to helping students. It's nice to be around those people who enjoy their jobs.
