Please, please, please don't here. The professors don't care and frequently are not prepared for class. If you spend any amount of time near the nursing offices, you'll hear a ton of gossip about students and professors. The staff is unprofessional and frankly rude and unhelpful. I cannot wait to graduate and never look back. They are trying to convince us to go there for graduate school, but how can you ask me to continue my education if the one I'm receiving is sub-par. GO ANYWHERE BUT HERE. Please
I believe that Maria College is a great school. I believe that if you attend Maria College for Nursing you will be prepared to take your boards by the end of the program. The program is very challenging, but worth it. The only thing I personally don't like is the food on campus, there isn't really a cafeteria, there is a POD where you can get cold pre-packaged sandwiches and snacks but that's really it. The community that the college is located in is great, it is near local hospitals, restaurants and a pharmacy. The location is very convenient and student friendly.
Maria College is different because they do not have on-campus housing or different organizations to join, really. It is a private school but has a variety of ages and different walks of life within its students. The professors are caring and truly want you to learn and go out to apply in-class work to the real life. They are supportive, encouraging, and want you to succeed. The campus offers tutoring and has a cozy library to study and do research in. Overall, attending Maria College has so far been an excellent decision.
It's a good school. But I do wish there were more things to do around campus than just study and learn, you need to let your brain take a break sometimes. And the tuition is unnecessarily expensive. I wish they would review their pricing and make it affordable. Though it is a private school, you have to pay everything off in order for you to graduate as well. You can set up a payment plan, but you still have to pay it off before graduation rather than paying it off after graduation. Overall, it's a good school. Instructors are easily accessible via email or in-person. People are great and friendly. You feel in a way welcomed.
