Mohave Community College is a great little college in a relatively small community. There are three campuses: the Neal Campus in Kingman, the Lake Havasu campus, and the Bullhead City campus. My review is about the Bullhead City campus, as that is the campus I attend. They host most of the community events and are super active with both students and non-students. That being said, there is no campus housing yet. They are building some I believe, but I heard it is only for their soccer team to use. The culinary class provides a salad bar for $5 for students, but there is no freshly made food other than that besides vending machines, which they have one in every building as far as I can tell. The college is a five-minute drive away from a shopping outlet that I'll frequent between classes for food, so it has never been much of a problem. As for academics, the college has a new drive towards online classes primarily since the pandemic. As a student who prefers on-ground classes, it is a fight to find the courses I need on-ground. It is disappointing, to say the least. However, if at least 5 students formally request a course on-ground, they will do their best to accommodate those students. The school has a focus on medical fields, such as nursing and radiology, so there are many opportunities for those programs at MCC. They also offer trade school, which is nice. The biggest flaw MCC faces is the lack of classes in the creative fields. As someone who wants to pursue music and/or art education, they can offer you the general classes and maybe one or two electives in the field you want, but then you have to transfer to a university. Overall, my experience at MCC has been great. I would recommend it since it has extremely cheap tuition (I paid less than $1,500 for twelve credits, half of which were art classes with class fees) and you can easily transfer your credits to a state university.

I love the fact I am able to organize my classes around my work schedule. Meaning that I am able to keep my part-time job, while also being able to spend at least 15 hours a week on my study for all three classes. One of the things that I love most about this school, is the afordiblity. Thanks to the cost of this school, I was able to pay out of pocket with the I currently have, so I don't have to add more to my student loans.

I personally like Mohave Community College. Although it is a community college without the traditional university setting, the professors are caring and understanding. It's really cheap and offers a lot in terms of certificates and nontraditional opportunities.

At Mohave Community College the technology is the worst. A decision was made to change the email accounts and other websites associated with the college. The updates have still not been completed. Technology does take time to conquer, but the new links should not be released to students until the updates are complete. That way, students do not become frustrated when the website does not perform well and the help desk does not have to redirect everyone.
