It showed a HUGE difference than being in high school! Matter of fact, college life feels more carefree! I don't feel nervous or discouraged when I walk through the doors of PSC. There's protection right there at the door (the police). The staff and administrators are very concerned about the students and you don't feel like you're being left behind.
I feel that Prairie State is a very good school to get your pre-requisites out of the way. There are a few ways to get involved and to get more out of your experience. For me I am in the Black Student Union here, as well as Phi Theta Kappa. Just stay focused and remember that challenges can be overcome you just have to believe in yourself and your abilities.
Prairie State is a great college to go to if you are looking for a good school that is affordable and offers lots of opportunity. There are lots of clubs and sporting teams to get involved in and some even give scholarships. There is a variety of food options to eat inside and outside of the school. The facilities are all updated and clean as well. They have tutors who help with any subject and your professors are always ready to lend a hand. With small class sizes and lots of help for you to succeed.
It's alright. Normal community college, nothing special. Professors and advisors are very helpful
The fall 2020 acceptance rate for Prairie State College is 100%. That means, out of _____ applications received in 2020 , _____ students were offered admission. The number of males who applied was _____ vs the number of females which was _____.
There are so many things I wish I could tell myself. Specifically, I would convince myself to abandon Chemical Engineering because my heart isnt really in it. Music is what I want to do and I should focus on what makes myself happy. Also, I would tell myself to take that year more seriously because I will regret not working to my potential when it can still make a big difference. Go out and get that job and enjoy the social life instead of staying couped up in the house. I am powerful beyond measure and I should act like it. It'll pay off. I promise
Anybody can attend this school and would fit right in perfectly.
The cafeteria food, needs improvement.
Prairie State University is a perfect starting point for a college career: attentive to the student and always helpful in providing academic guidance at every opportunity.
My classmates vary greatly from class to class but due to the demographic of community colleges it ranges throughout all ages 17 and up and very diverse both culturally and racially.
I wish I knew to work with the financial aid department and how to better schedule my classes.
it's too small, last year I was at a big university and I plan on going back there because this one is too small and they let anybody is that wants in. They have no selection process and its to easy.
It's very affordable and the workload is usually very manageable
I like that my school is mainly one big building. All of my classes are close togather. and I like that I don't have to be walking outside in the rain or snow to get from one class to another. It makes college not seem so overwhelming.
Prairie State College is a richly diverse community college dedicated to student-centered instruction that fosters success in adult, transfer, and workforce students.
The people are so nice to me there. I am a returning adult and was very intimidated to be among young students. Everyone has been very helpful and courteous.
There are plenty of resources available to students, so as long as a student is self motivated, and have a good attitude they would be an excellent fit at Prairie State Community College. The Professors, and advisors are always willing to lend their time to students who show interest, which creates a wonderful learning environment.
