Great school with small class sizes and supportive faculty and Professors.
I am honored to be a part of the first Black college of Kentucky. This means the world to me to acquire the tutelage of a Christian based HBCU. The faculty and upperclassmen are so eager to assist me. The campus is beautiful and well kept. The president of the college is always there to motivate and encourage. I am very excited to begin my educational journey here at Simmons College of Kentucky.

A person who attends this school must be ready to participate on campus. There is a lot of required events that students must go to. You must also love to volunteer within the community. Students have to complete a certain about of volunteer hours a week to place toward their degree. They must be ready to learn and come to class with an open mind, because Simmons is a very unique and different school. We have a small number of overall students so its more like a family and the opinion of students count alot
A person that should not attend this school is soneone who is not willing to put in the effort or at least try. The school itself has alot to offer as far as; tutoring, different clubs, events etc. The teachers are always willing to make sure you are doing your very best, but some students fall behind because they get too comfortable.
My school is great. We are like family and teachers/staff are always willing to listen to my questions and concerns. I also brag about the knowledge i've learned from the classes i've taken.
My school is a work in progress. We just got our accreditation in January of 2014 and we are still trying to recruit more students but its difficult because some people don't know about our school and it's accreditation, and also new majors we have taken on.
