NBC Universal Scholarship

This scholarship is open to U.S. undergraduate and graduate students of American Indian or Native Alaskan descent who have a grade point average of 3.0 or higher. Students must be interested in a career in media, either in front of or behind the camera; major preferences are journalism, media, broadcasting, entertainment, film, and telecom.

Arizona Public Service Navajo Scholars Program – Undergraduate (Non-Tribal Colleges) Students

This scholarship is open to U.S. undergraduate students who are members of the Navajo Nation tribe (any Shiprock Agency Chapter) and attend school in Arizona or New Mexico. Students must major in any STEM field and have a grade point average of 2.8 or higher.

Maria A. Sciara Scholarship

This scholarship is open to U.S. and international high school seniors who reside in Nassau or Suffolk counties in New York and aspire to be teachers. Students must reside or have resided with a parent or guardian who is a survivor or victim of cancer (other than breast cancer). Those aspiring to become teachers will be given extra consideration for this scholarship but pursuing an education to become an educator IS NOT required to apply.

Jim and Margie Fegley Orchestral String Scholarship Fund

This scholarship is open to U.S. high school seniors and undergraduate students who are pursuing a Bachelor of Music, Bachelor of Music Education, Bachelor of Arts in Music, Bachelor of Science in Music degree, or a music certificate (specifically in orchestral strings). Students must have been actively involved in his/her high school or college music program or a program outside of school, and have a grade point average of 3.0 or higher.

Evelyn & Bernard J. Zucker Scholarship Fund

This scholarship is open to U.S. high school seniors and adult students entering their freshman year who reside in the Connecticut Community Foundation’s 21-town service area. Students must have a grade point average of B- or higher and must major in the humanities.

N. Patricia Yarborough Scholarship Fund

This scholarship is open to U.S. high school seniors and adult students entering their freshman year who reside in the Connecticut Community Foundation’s 21-town service area. Students must have a grade point average of B- or higher, and must study music, art, dance, or theatre.

Thompson Memorial Scholarship Fund

This scholarship is open to U.S. high school seniors and adult students entering their freshman year who reside in the Connecticut Community Foundation’s 21-town service area. Students must have a grade point average of B- or higher, and must major in music (preferably piano or voice).

John L. and Jeanne C. Hughes Scholarship Fund

This scholarship is open to U.S. high school seniors and adult students entering their freshman year who reside in the Connecticut Community Foundation’s 21-town service area. Students must have a grade point average of B- or higher and must plan to pursue a bachelor of arts degree (i.e., liberal arts).

Friends of the California State Fair Scholarship Program – Art Major Category

This scholarship is open to California undergraduate students who are enrolled in an arts program/major (i.e., visual arts, dance, music, film, etc.) at an accredited California four-year institution. Students must have a grade point average of 3.0 or higher.
