Excellent school! It's a fantastic place to start college because it's economical and convenient to businesses. There are numerous campuses in this little town. Professors are wonderful people who genuinely want to see students thrive. The class size is small, which is very convenient.
It is a fairly good school. I do not recommend taking online classes unless you have no other choice. You will not learn as much and the classes will be less effective if you take them online vs face to face. Online isn’t a good choice If you are a auditory learner because you miss out on the whole aspect of having lecture.
No on-campus housing, 100% commuter. Small class sizes, all are 30 students or less. Professors keep regular office hours and list them on the syllabus. Professors are very concerned about their students and check on you when you are out of class. There is a school wide attendance policy where you must attend 90% of class meetings and may not miss a single test if you don’t want to fail.
It's a great school to attend. The only school around my area that have the Culinary Arts program. This will be my first year attending this school. what I heard about the school is great and has great review. People in Bertie County talks high about this college
The fall 2020 acceptance rate for College of the Albemarle is 100%. That means, out of _____ applications received in 2020 , _____ students were offered admission. The number of males who applied was _____ vs the number of females which was _____.
That everything was how you expected and that all the fears and worrying about life were really unnecessary because you are completely capable to put yourself through college even with a rough homelife and working...
Well the people that I do talk to are very nice and kind.
The academics are great! Teachers here really know what they are talking about! I have respect for the teachers and the classes that I am enrolled in.
I knew all that I needed to know about COA I'm going there because the faculty are nice, it's cheap, and close to home. I am almost done and will soon be transferring to Savannah College of Art and Design!
The worst thing I consider about this school is its reputation. People around our town label the school as a "fits all" college. They do not see the value of it. It is a great starter college and I loved it there.
College of the Albemarle is a community college in my small town that is perfect for students who do not know what career field they are going into. This college is perfect for completing basic classes for a great foundation for a 4-year school. I loved the small classes and how much one-on-one you get with the professors. The extra time really gave me a strong foundation for pharmacy school.
