It is a good school. They know how to get out especially on homecoming. Like can’t nobody tell them a single thing. They the baddest of best and the littlest of the lit. Also they have a pretty campus. Most of the things that people want to major in you can just go to A&T and they got it for you boo.

What is your overall opinion of this school?

As a fourth-year student at the Illustrious North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University, as well as, a campus tour guide, I am versed in its everyday operations. Aside from producing the most African American engineers than any other institution in the country, North Carolina A&T produces people who are skilled in their professions and who are knowledgeable about the future tasks they have at hand. The classroom sizes allow for in-depth understanding and make the instructors more personable, even outside of their regular office hours. As the freshman classes continue to grow in size, accommodations on campus are guaranteed for all freshman but are dwindling for returning students. On the upside, Greensboro is a town dedicated to the university and is full of student housing in the form of apartments or townhouses with leases for the school year. Outside of the classroom and the dorm room, there are a variety of things to participate in, including more than 100+ clubs and organizations ranging from gospel choir to student government, a brand new student center with lounge space, a second cafeteria, multiple eateries, and media center, a state of the art campus recreation center for fitness, etc., all of which is included in tuition and at the student's disposal. The dorms are patrolled by security, as well as university police, from 7 pm - 7 am and are inaccessible without a student ID that is registered to that residence hall, creating a safe environment around campus. The lengths that North Carolina A&T University goes to, to ensure the students attending feel welcome and included, as well as prepared for the workforce, are unparalleled. I truly believe this is the best decision I have made for myself thus far.

What is your overall opinion of this school?

There is a safe place for everyone at NCAT, that's what we typically call it. The amount of organizations available to the student body is impeccable, the resources that are available to us academically, emotionally, physically, and spiritually are outstanding, and the home-like feel is undeniable which is what attracted me to the institution in the first place. They are constantly upgrading all of the facilities and are making the school better and better each year. You can just look at the exponential yearly growth of the freshman class to mirror the growth of the university as a whole. Due to this growth, there is a shortage of on-campus housing, but they are adjusting to this change by expanding housing near campus. My only negative take on the school is that there are not too many shops and stores within walking distance of the school, but there is great and easy transportation to and from campus each day of the week and fine dining located throughout the campus. I highly recommend North Carolina A&T to any freshman, transfer, or graduate student looking for a prestigious, academically rigorous, and close-knit institution.

What is your overall opinion of this school?

I would have never thought I would go to an HBCU. I did not think I would fit because of the diversity I had been raised around as a military brat, but I was wrong. The community at A&T is extremely welcoming, and although African-Americans are the majority there, the personalities are an endless variety. As an Aggie at North Carolina A&T State University, the campus is your community, and Aggies act as a family. It is almost impossible to walk from one place to another without seeing Aggies interacting, and you will most definitely see at least one person you know. Additionally, there are always activities going on that you can participate in and the student center is a great place to go if you are bored or want to meet new people. A&T makes it easy to keep up with what is going on on-campus by keeping students connected on social media. Due to their being so many activities and fun opportunities to participate in, it is important that you have the discipline to get your work done before anything. It is not hard to excel in your studies here as long as you have the mindset to do so. Plus, if you surround yourself with those who are just as motivated to succeed as you are, you will do great. There are some living learning communities (LLCs) and other organizations available on campus to promote academic success. I joined the Noble Place LLC and I can definitely say it was a great decision. As a member, I was given great housing, early registration, early move-in dates, and the opportunity to be around like minded individuals who shared the same major as me. Besides the benefits given by LLCs, most classes you enroll in will start a group chat between the students to also promote academic success. This group chat allows you to connect with your peers about assignments and also develop times to meet as a study group. It is not hard at all to excel at A&T. The professors are also helpful, or at least the ones I have encountered are and due to class sizes, professors will definitely get to know your name and personality. My advice for picking a great professor is to look them up online when registering for classes. The only cons I would give A&T would be tuition and food options. The tuition is definitely expensive for out of state students, but it is not something you won't be able to overcome. There are many scholarships unaffiliated with the University you can apply to and a few that are affiliated. My advice is, get on top of financial aid early, do not hesitate. Contact people who can help you find scholarships if you do not know how, and do a lot of research. You can find financial aid and you can receive it. Secondly, the only main problem with the food options at A&T are the hours. Since the student center opened, A&T has cut down some of the hours that certain food places are open, but this is also not a reason to not go to this university. It just limits the hours you are able to get food on campus according to your meal plan. Although NCAT has its disadvantages, the pros definitely outweigh the cons. I do not regret my enrolling to the illustrious North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University. I am forever a proud Aggie.

Since being at North Carolina A&T State, I can gladly say that I made the right choice. I currently finished my first year and I am proud of the person I have become since I been here. Due to our good reputation, I was able to interact and gain new opportunities on and off-campus. So far, I have joined 3 campus activities and I had so much fun learning and interacting with students on a day to day basis. They offer jobs for full -time students to help finance their tuition, so it was very helpful to many students who were out-of-state like me. I am positive that I am going back and though I may not have the funds to pay for the entire year, I am willing to do what it takes in order to leave my mark once I receive my Bachelor's degree! AGGIE PRIDE!

I love how everyone feels like family. Although, I didn't really enjoy the living on-campus experience, overall I love the experience of the relationships made with some of the professors and the students that attend. I want to live off-campus next year i'm hoping everything works out.

When I visited NC A&T I felt like I was at home. They welcomed me and made sure I knew exactly where I was going and how to get there. The food was great they had many choices to choose from. The students weren’t wild like you would see at other schools, everyone seemed down to earth and ready to learn. Walking around the campus is easy, housing is built in the way it is convenient to get to classes on time. Overall A&T seems like a great school.

A&T is a great school for networking and feeling like you belong. Most professors will help you as best as they can. The culture here is lively and welcoming. Before going here, I would definitely check how good the major you are applying to is, but overall, I am happy with the college I chose.

What is your overall opinion of this school?

North Carolina A&T has become my home not only academically, but as a whole campus. We are a family, we are close knit, and everybody from your professors, to our chancellor and even the student body want to see you succeed. In just my freshman year, I have made so many friends that have become like my siblings who take care of me and encourage me to be the best I can be constantly. The opportunities for scholarships and internships are endless. You are no stranger to your professors or your advisors at all and they also push you to be more than a student. Just being on campus and seeing such black excellence around you in the form of upcoming entrepreneurs, artists, writers, and stem students encourages you to want more and be more. I wouldn't want to be anywhere else! #aggiepride
