My overall opinion of Kent Ashtabula is that it is a good fit for the price. It is very cheap and affordable. There are not very many clubs or extra curricular activities, which is definitely a downside. I am not involved in any outside of school activities because there are very few and none interest me. The staff is a helpful but not very productive.

If I could back and talk to myself I would definately have a discussion about taking math classes to help with my career choice later in life for college. I would also have a discussion about waiting until after college to start a family and to not marry someone who is not my best friend. I would also tell myself to figure out sooner what I want to do as a career and head down the path the first time the right way instead of taking four years to decide what to do then I would not have to worry about trying to figure out ways to pay for my PHD now. There are many things I would go back and tell myself but the main would be to figure out early in college what I want to do and take that path.
The worst thing about my school is the availability of classes. For exaple the Spanish intro course is only offered once a year and if you don't take it that semester you have to wait another year.
Its relatively small and easy to navigate. Its affordable for students seeking acquire a degree without going deep into debt.
The best thing about my school which is Kent State University Ashtabula Campus is that it is not too crowded and the student to teacher ratio is very good. You receive more undevided attention.
That a lot of majors you can't finish on campus you have to go to main.
My fellow classmates are vibrant students, and are eager to communicate in class on a regular basis.
My school is affordable and friendly to new comers.
The most frustrating thing would probably be the lack of teachers. For instance, as a psychology major, there are only two psychology professors in our school. This means that there are a limited amount of psychology classes per semester; most of them upper-division, meaning seniors and juniors get first dibs. By the time freshman and sophomores get a chance to register, often times the classes are full.
Kent State is known as a public research university and started as a teacher training school.
It should be a requirement for all the people that wish to broaden their minds and expand their perspectives. So, I guess that the type of person that does not want to participate in either of those activities, should not be a person that attends Kent State University-Ashtabula Campus.
I love the fact that my university has a cadaver lab on campus, we are one of the only universities that have one. My anatomy classes were amazing because we were able to take advantage of the cadaver labs and learn a lot about the human body.
People who want to stay local and relatively affordable. People interested in a variety of degrees, both associates and bachelors. People who like small classrooms and a nice campus.
